History: Jasper was born into the prestigious Whitlock family who owned one of the largest plantations in Houston, Texas. He was even the quiet child then, going to school and helping around the plantation. When he was seventeen, the Civil War had erupted and Jasper felt that it was his duty to the South to join the Confederate Army, lying about his age to do so.

Due to his charisma with the higher ranking officers, he was able to rise up quickly… Until he met Maria. She was the one who turned him into a vampire, who was quickly gathering newborns for a territory claim in Mexico City. She thought his was strong from his army abilities and just used him when she found out about his abilities.

When he was with Maria, his job was to train the younger vampires and then kill them when she didn’t need them anymore. After a century, he managed to escape with his friend Paul and his mate, Charlotte. Guilt plagued him more and more everyday… When he couldn’t take it anymore, he left the two and eventually found Alice.

His life had changed from that point on.

They went and joined the Cullens, who taught him the way of being a vegetarian vampire. It was then he used the surname of ‘Hale’ because Carlisle told people that he was Rosalie’s twin brother. He began to go to school with his adoptive siblings, and Alice (who had taken the Cullen surname). He had a difficulty there but Edward had been there to help him, telling him that he also had the ability to tell the differences between different humans blood.

Everything had gone smoothly though… Until Bella had come into their lives.

Jasper had been able to tell what Bella had done to Edward. He could –feel- the difference in Edward’s emotions after they had met and he had never really been opposed to Edward’s relationship with her. He helped fight against James when he was after Bella, and he hadn’t minded helping out.

One Bella’s eighteenth birthday, his only slip up after being in the coven had happened. She had cut her finger on birthday wrapping paper and he had gone wild at the scent. His shame had sent him into a depression, and they had moved away. While they were gone, he studied philosophy to help him understand what had happened. When Alice had seen Bella jumping the cliff, he wanted to help Alice but she wouldn’t allow him, so he tried to help out Edward, who had stopped answering his calls.

He hadn’t known about Alice leaving for Volterra with Bella until it had happened and she was on the plane. She really liked giving him a heart attack didn’t she? Hypothetically speaking of course. Everything had turned out all right and they went back to Forks.

That’s when the issue with Victoria happened. The newborn battle was coming and his military skills were called to help them all against the newborns. As usual, they came out victorious in the end, but Jasper had suffered from many vampire bites trying to protect Alice from them.

Bella and Edward got married and things seemed to be peaceful… Until the surprise they brought home. Bella had ended up pregnant and the emotions that everyone had been experiencing had caused him to be wary. When Renesmee was born, Bella was made into a vampire and his whole belief about newborns had been basically tossed into the trash and he was forced to reevaluate everything he believed.

It seemed that the Volturi were going to be issues in their lives again, after they found out about Nessie, and Jasper went off with Alice to find the only thing that would help their family… someone like Nessie. When they found Nahuel, things were looking up again and their fight with the Volturi (with the help of their friends and Bella) had been successful and they were allowed to live in peace

Personality: Jasper likes to consider himself a lover, not a fighter but he’ll fight for his family. For his Alice.

Jasper’s been seen as the strong silent type, compared to his other ‘brothers’. His gift of manipulating emotions is something that he doesn’t use often unless he feels that it’s needed. When he was human he was described as being extremely charismatic, and very likable. He was also seen as the leader type when he was in the army when he was human.

Jasper likes to take the time to understand things. He’d rather watch people and learn from them before deciding if there’s any need for interaction. He thinks that it’s a good way to help him cope with the thirst and the longing for human blood. His urges have been controlled thanks to his soul mate, Alice. She’s the reason that he’s still alive today.

He’s never regretted being with Alice or joining the Cullens.

Appearance: Jasper is 6'3" and has golden blond hair that is in uncontrolable curls sometimes. He’s not as tall as Emmett but only a little taller than Edward. His features are a bit more distinguished since becoming a vampire. He is lean but a little more muscular than Edward. He has pale, marble hard and bruise-like purple shadows under his eyes, which appear more and more as his thirst increases. He has golden eyes, the turn black, as he grows thirstier.

He has many crescent-shaped scars on his body from the bites of vampires he fought on Maria's behalf in Mexico City. The white scars are invisible to humans but are very noticeable to a vampire. He doesn’t take much into consideration when it comes to how he looks. He prefers to dress in simple clothes, all bought by Alice of course, but they all seemed to fit his personality and his conservativeness.

He’s not very fond of his sparkliness in the sun, so he tries to stay out of it unless he’s with his family… Even if it is a rare occasion to see the sun in Forks.

Special ability/ies: The ability to manipulate emotions of others, super strength, granite hard skin, immortality, and a keen sense of smell and hearing. Jasper can all tell the difference between different humans blood.

Jasper Hale didn’t really take notice to the temperature. He was sure that it was the same as his own body was but that didn’t bother him. Today was just one of those days that made him aware that he needed a break from his usual doings… His usual fretting about as Alice so delicately put it.

Fretting. Jasper couldn't help but let out a small snort of laughter at the thought. That wasn't exactly how he would word it but leave it to Alice to word it frivolously. That was why he loved her of course, and again... He wouldn't have it any other way.

He smiled to himself as he readjusted the scarf around his neck. It was a bit too itchy for his taste but he wore it so it was play on the image that his family liked to put on for any human’s who might see them. A small breeze picked up and the cold had put a stale scent on the human’s blood around them. He tried not to notice but he tried to keep focus on his angel dancing in the snow in front of him.

Jasper smiled to himself and a small chuckle escaped his lips. The flakes fell into her brown pixie hair and she was absolutely beautiful. He could pick up the emotions from the humans who had decided to go to the park that day.

Some of them were also admiring the little snow fairy. She was like a precious gem, gleaming in the snow, demanding attention.

It was times like these that made him think about how lucky he had been since she came into his life. His love for her made everything about life as an immortal and the bloodlust bearable. He tilted his head to the side just to look at her from a different angle. Oi, beautiful indeed…

He walked up to her and snaked his arm around her tiny waist. He leaned in and kissed the top of her head, burying his face in her soft and silken brown hair. He sucked in a deep breath, out of habit of course, and closed his eyes. He had been thinking about asking her to marry him for another time, as a gift to her, celebrating their relationship. They had never done anything extravagant like Rose and Em did but it would be nice, he supposed. Plus Alice loved those sort of things.

His first thought was to see if she wanted to go home but then he remembered that today was a day just for them. “I noticed one of the lakes had been frozen over… the ice is thick enough to skate on…” He mumbled into her hair but knew she heard him. Jasper pulled back and smiled a bit.

“How’s that sound?”
