Made For Each Other (Open to only Alice)
It was raining again.
When Jasper was young, and human, he had always appreciated the rain. It was a rarity most of the time in Texas or when it did rain, it was always more than likely a storm. His eyebrows furrowed together for a moment, remembering how he use to be able to feel whether the rain was cold or warm. Lately, it just felt bland. Feeling the same as when he touched his own skin.
He didn’t know what it was. Jasper knew that things had felt like they had changed. Of course they had, he was dense. It was only months after the Volturi had come and when they left, Jasper had felt their anger. He had felt their promise to return. Everything wasn’t all right.
Even now, he was still a little unsettled and he had been afraid that it had been affecting his and Alice’s relationship. He feared for her, Bella and Nessie. He didn’t know what he would do if he lost Alice. She was the reason he was the way he was today. Jasper tilted his head to the side and looked up at the dark clouds.
He was going to have to find a way to make it up to Alice. He could feel everyone reacting to him being bothered. He ran a hand through his curly blonde hair and turned around, away from the window to go find where Alice was. He left the room and walked into the hallway. Jasper turned his head to the side, towards the direction of Alice’s room, wondering if she was in there.
He made his way to Alice’s room, where she usually had her paintings or her little fashion things, whatever they were called. Jasper wouldn’t be surprised if she was in there dressing up Nessie like a little doll.
He smiled to himself and poked his head in, only to find that she wasn’t in there. He started to wonder if she had seen him looking for her in a vision and was purposely hiding. He wouldn’t put that past her either. Chuckling to himself, he headed down the stairs and to the living room area. He looked around, still he couldn’t find her. Maybe she was outside…
Jasper stepped outside towards the back gardens. The rain had stopped and that was when he saw her there. “Hey,” he said quietly as he came up by her side. He wrapped his arm around Alice’s waist and kissed the top of her head. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” He pulled back slightly and cupped her stone face in his hands.
“I wanted to apologize about the mood I’ve been in lately,” he told her as his fingers played with the ends of her soft brown hair. He leaned in and kissed her forehead. “What are you doing out here?”
